Gianna Paulina Annesi is from Upstate New York and has over 25 years of dance training and performance experience. Gianna has recently wrapped up traveling the world as “Teresita” in the International Tour of West Side Story directed by Lonny Price and choreographed by Julio Monge. Gianna previously lived at sea on the Disney Dream as a dancer, swing and Dance Captain for three seasons performing in the Brass Ring Award winning, "Beauty and the Beast" as well as other main stage productions. She also served as one of the Onboard Dance Supervisors for the Disney Dream during the relaunch after the COVID-19 shutdown. Gianna received her BFA with a Jazz concentration from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. While there, she performed the role of “Helene” in the Pittsburgh Playhouse’s production of Sweet Charity directed by Tony Award Winning Michael Rupert. She worked with countless faculty members such as Kiesha Lalama, Jason McDole, and Jim Cooney as well as performing works from world renowned choreographers such as Kate Skarpetowska, Larry Keigwin, Jess Hendricks and Stephanie Martinez. Gianna also has over 10 years of free-lance choreography and instruction in dance, fitness, and kick-boxing as well as being a Certified Personal Trainer with a specialization in Corrective Exercise and Group Fitness. Gianna continues to move through life by performing, creating, teaching and inspiring the young artists of today.
